Peer Review Process

MS aims to publish articles that uncover new depths in the study of Minangkabau's culture. These articles should be able to contribute to and advance our current understanding of Minangkabau's culture and adaptasi kebudayaan Minangkabau di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Indonesia, and specifically Minangkabau-related culture, with a sound scientific basis. To ensure this, we employ a double-blind peer review, which means that both the reviewers and authors identities are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

More specifically, our editorial process is as follows:

  1. Editorial Board review,

The manuscript will be decided whether it is accepted or not by the editorial team based on its suitability with the focus and scope of MS. The manuscript will be returned to the author for correction if it matches the direction and content of JKM but does not match the template.

  1. Peer Riview,

Manuscripts that the editorial team has received will be sent to two reviewers who are relevant to the article's topic. The reviewer will evaluate the content of the manuscript and provide recommendations to the editor-in-chief.

  1. First Decision

Once both reviewers have submitted their recommendations, the manuscript will be rejected, revised, or accepted as is. If received, the manuscript is returned to the author for correction.

  1. Revision

Manuscripts that require revision are returned to the author, and the author makes revisions within a maximum of 4 weeks. After the modification is submitted, the manuscript will be checked by the editor whether the improvements made are appropriate or adequate. If the revision is not sufficient, the manuscript is sent back to the author for correction.

  1. Final Decision.

The revised manuscript may be accepted or rejected depending on whether the manuscript has been changed so that it is worthy of publication. The manuscript that does not improve according to MS publication eligibility standards will be rejected.

  1. Language Editing

Once the manuscript is received, it is returned to the sending author for the final editing of the language and content; These are changes that increase the article's readability without changing the content's substance.
